Workshop Description:
Rejuvenate the spirit and awaken the heart through the Dances of
Universal Peace, accompanied by singing, stories, and practices from
the universality of the world's mystical traditions. These activities
will support the exploration of our spiritual journey through the
Expressive Arts, including poetry, drawing, sculpture, movement,
sound, and humor, which restore our balance and connection. The
Dances are simple, meditative, joyous, multi-cultural circle dances
that use sacred phrases, chants, and music which are sung as a group
with live music, and movements from many traditions. As Murshid Sam
said: “They get your head in the clouds and your feet on the ground.”
